Jong-Hyun Jeong
I have been fascinated in various technical fields for structural health monitoring (SHM) applications. I received Ph.D. and M.S at the University of Arizona (Ph.D. in Civil Eng., and M.S. in Electrical & Computer Engineering), M.S. and B.S. at Konkuk University (Civil Eng.). I’ve worked on development of IoT systems by leveraging various technical aspects including: wireless sensing hardware, signal processing, deep learning, reinforcement learning, mobile computing, computer vision, and data science.
Currently working at the Palo Alto Research Center(PARC, a Xerox company), I’ve worked on fiber-optic based SHM system development including various aspects; hardware tests(strain, temperature, acceleration etc..), large scale real-time streaming sensor data processing algorithms, and multiscale visualization tool.
Highly interested in technical topics in various aspects; reinforcement learning based task automation, decentralized data processing for large-scale streaming data from sensor networks, mobile crowdsourced data processing, computer vision based SHM and high-sensitive wireless sensing system.
